Continue readingYesterday, BJ was ordained a deacon! I am so proud of him and I loved watching him pass the sacrament. I am amazed that this day has come and I thought it was so far off. I am truly proud of BJ and all of the wonderful decisions he has made in his life.
We have had a really fun week. My sister Megan and Annemarie, and their 2 dogs, Starbuck and Saul have been here from Texas since Sunday. My other sister, Erin and her husband Dale, and their 4 kids have been here since Wednesday. And our close family friend Kim arrived yesterday. (Lucky that they are all staying at my parents bigger house!) We have been having soooooo much fun. We have played a ton of outside games with the kids, and fun silly ones with the adults. Just spending good quality time together. We took wonderful pictures yesterday and I will post some soon. AJ has been hard working, he had a project to finish up at the beginning of this week and had to pull an all-nighter. And he has another one that is due next Thursday, so he has been really busy. I am sure he is looking forward to this weekend. We are truly blessed with wonderful families!
We had a wonderful reunion! We stayed in a beautiful lodge and the area was amazing. It was really great to see everyone. AJ saw an aunt and a cousin that he had not seen in 20 years. We also got to see an aunt and an uncle that we had not seen since our wedding and I got to meet a few more cousins that I had never met. We really had fun with everyone. The boys loved playing with all of the kids. And it was great to spend time with Heather and John, and Maria. And we adults played a really fun game, that made us all laugh. We also got to hear Grandpa Jackson bear his testimony, which was very special.
So we are off again this weekend. We are headed to Logan Canyon for the Jackson Family Reunion. We are all staying at Beaver Creek Lodge. We are going to go to a dinner/theater, hike around Tony’s Grove and really enjoy each other. We will get to see Maria and their 4 girls (Spencer had to work :(). We haven’t seen them for a year. We will also get to see Heather and John and their 3 boys. And of course, Gramma and Papa!
